The Department of Economics at the National Cheng Kung University Invites Applications for the Position of Chairperson
Position: The Department of Economics at the National Cheng Kung University, one of the top research universities in Taiwan, invites applications for a position as Department Chairperson at the rank of full professor. The tenured appointment will begin on August 1, 2018. A good command of Mandarin is required.
Requirements:
1. Successful candidate must be commensurate with the qualification of holding a full professorship at the NCKU. It is preferred that the Chairperson will be as much an administrative leader as he/she is an intellectual leader.
2. Successful candidate must have demonstrated a significant influence on the profession by his/her research and publications as well as administrative experiences.
3. According to the regulation of Taiwan’s Ministry of Education, the applicant must be below the age of 62 by August 1, 2018.

Please submit a cover letter, a vision statement with previous academic related administrative experiences, curriculum vita, list of publication. Three confidential letters from outstanding individuals in the related fields should be sent directly to the Department and be received before February 14, 2018.
