The Department of Economics at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan, invites applications for tenure-track positions at all ranks, beginning August 2026. All fields of economics are welcome. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in economics or a related field by July 2026, with strong research potential and teaching ability in English or Mandarin. Applicants should indicate their desired rank in the cover letter.
Applications received by November 30, 2025 will receive full consideration. The
search will remain open until a suitable candidate is found, but no later than
January 31, 2026. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and early
submissions are encouraged. Virtual interviews may be arranged in advance.
Applications that are incomplete will not be reviewed.
NCKU provides a comprehensive benefits package, including national health

receive living allowances for marriage, childbirth, and children’s education,
as well as access to on-campus housing, and the university actively supports research
